LB 3 The Roles of Educational Technology in Learning

 Educational technology plays various roles. From the traditional point of view, it serves as presenter of knowledge just like teachers. It also serves as a productivity tool. With Internet, technology has facilitated communication among people. From the constructivist perspective, educational technology is a meaningful learning tool by serving as a learning partner.

LB 8 Teaching with Contrived Experiences

    Contrived Experiences are " edited" copies of reality and are used as substitutes for real things when it is not practical or not possible to bring or do the real thing in the classroom. These contrived are designed to simulate to real - life situations. 

LB 7 Direct, Purposeful Experiences and Beyond

       For me, Direct purposeful experience and beyond are first hand experiences  which serve as the foundation of our learning. The serve as a stocks of meaningful information and ideas through the use of the five senses. In the context of the teaching- learning process, it is learning by doing.

LB-6 Using and Evaluating Instructional Materials

                         For me,the teacher should select  the instructional material well.So that the instructional material will be effectively utilized.It is one thing to use it well.And to ensure effective use of instructional material is to abide by the acronym PPPF process.

LB-5 The Cone of Experience

                   The Cone of Experience is a visual model,a pictorial device that presents band of experience arranged accordingly to degree of  abstraction and not degree of difficulty.So learning is from the concrete to ,the abstract to the  concrete and from the concrete to the abstract again? It becomes a cycle.

LB-4 Systematic Approach to Teaching

               The broad definition of education technology encompasses system or designs of instruction.The systems approach to instruction is simple in theory but far from being simplistic in practice.It is not just a matter of teacher formulating his/her lesson objective and then directly  teaching the student.It an orchestrated learning pattern with all parts  harmoniously integrated into the whole

Technology

      On my own opinion, it depends on how the people use the technology, It is a bane or a curse if we misuse or abuse technology, it will ruin our lives and eventually results to our downfall, but it is a boon or a blessing  if we use technology on its ultimate purpose in improving us, humanization of  life, aiding teaching-learning process or stimulate learning.

But nowadays, man uses technology on wrong purposes like pornography and human trafficking and it adds negative effects on our moral life. We should use technology properly on our own development and observe the quality of balance in our life, not to be so dependent or engage in technology all the time.
